One Love Christian Center is a purpose driven church.  The

church began March 2, 2003 in the home of Pastor Artie and

Minister Shantell Brown. Shortly afterwards, the church

relocated to Highlands Middle School in Jacksonville, Florida

and currently holds services at 2960 Edison Ave

in Jacksonville.

Within the first year, the church established the Mighty Men of Valor Ministry, Women of Love Ministry, J.L.K. (Jesus Little Kids) Children Ministry, and L.O.N.G. (Leaders of the Next Generation) Youth Ministry.  The Tokens of Love Media/Resource Ministry was established with the purchase of audio and recording equipment.  

In 2004, the church established the F.N.U.E. (From Now Until Eternity) Marriage Ministry.  The Transportation Ministry took flight with the purchase of a 15 passenger van.  A drum set and keyboard was acquired to advance the Praise and Worship Ministry Team.

In 2005, the church felt the need to connect more with the community, so the Operation Love Community Outreach Ministry was launched.  Visitations where made to local nursing/rehabilitation centers to provide hope for the sick and elderly.  The church connected with five public schools in the community, providing school supplies and assisting with the needs of all stakeholders.  The Bright Light Character Award was established with each school to recognize those students that demonstrated exceptional morals and values that exemplify Christ-like behavior.  The awardees receive a certificate of recognitions and a $25 gift card.  Through the years, over 75 students have received the B.L. Character Award.

In 2006, the church adopted a low income housing development.  Residence at Madison Woods Apartment Complex began receiving bread and pastries through the church from our partnership with Panera Bread Company and Publix’s End of Day Donation Programs.  In 2007, another low income housing development was adopted.  Each month, approximately 100 families are blessed through this outreach ministry.

Over the years, the church has been able to bless 100’s of families through our Food and Clothing Ministry.  Since 2006, the church has blessed over 350 families during the Thanksgiving season.

Over $12,000.00 worth of brand new clothing has been distributed to those in need.  There is still much more to do to demonstrate the love of God to this world.

Services are held on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s of each week.  On Sunday’s, Bible Enrichment begins at 9:30 am, and Worship Service begins at 10:30 am.  Wednesday’s services begin with Corporate Prayer at 6:30 pm, and Bible Enrichment begins at 7:00 pm.

· We believe that men divinely inspired by God wrote the Holy Bible.  

· We believe that there is one and only one living and true God, an infinite and

  intelligent spirit.  

· We believe in the triune nature of God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  

· We believe all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of

  salvation.

· We believe that all who receive salvation through Jesus Christ are justified by His

  redemptive blood.

· We believe the infilling of the Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent to salvation.

· We believe that healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is

  available to every Believer.

· We believe that sanctification is the process by which we are made partakers of

  God’s holiness.

· We believe in water baptism as an emblem of our faith in the death, burial, and

  resurrection of Jesus Christ.

· We believe that members of the body of Christ should partake in the Lord’s Supper

  to commemorate His dying love for us.  

· We believe in the personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ.

· We believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the righteous and of the wicked.

“A Victorious Church in the Way of Becoming a Glorified Church”

We consider every Christian to be victorious according to 1 Corinthians 15:57.  When we hear and follow Jesus Christ, he shows us true methods for victorious living (John 14:6).  In the end, God is glorified through our day to day actions (Romans 8:30, 1 Corinthians 6:20).

“One Love Christian Center is committed to developing within each member a measurable sense of love for God, themselves and others through their spiritual, mental, and physical actions based upon biblical principles, equipping them for ministry to announce the good news of Jesus Christ to the world, so that every person has an opportunity to make a decision for Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life.”

In Matthew 22:37, Jesus said, we are to love God with all our heart, soul and mind.

He goes on to say, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves.  At One Love Christian Center, we strive to follow through with these two commandments by cultivating a relationship with God (spiritual action), capturing negative thoughts (mental action) and demonstrating love (physical action) to God, self and others.  The idea is to train each member to share the gospel of Christ with others, believing they will fall deeply in love with Him as we have (Matthew 28:19-20).
